NEON RESTAURANT

10.2 (or ten.two) is a multicultural design and architecture office based in Vienna. And 'multicultural' means here that its design for various restaurants (Finkh, Kaffeeküche, ShanghaiTan) are free of all signs of the traditional Viennese coffeehouse and 'beisl' (a bite to eat) culture. The Neon Restaurant with its authentic Shanghai cuisine is probably the coolest yet of their projects for Vienna. Under two of the arches designed by Otto Wagner for what is now a disused section of Vienna's underground system, this soaring, sleek space glows in pink neon light - truly cosmopolitan.
